I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2001. While studying at the University of Puerto Rico I met many students from various countries in Latin America who came on scholarships to the University of Puerto Rico seeking progress for themselves and their families.
Years later, while working as a military attorney in the United States Army, I was assigned to work in a training and education unit for countries of the western hemisphere, where I had the opportunity to work with many soldiers and civilians from all countries in Latin America. These experiences have allowed me to understand and appreciate the unique cultures and challenges that immigrants face in the United States.
Although Puerto Ricans are American citizens, we also face unique challenges in the United States. That is why I have dedicated my legal career to helping the Hispanic community in Central Florida navigate the legal system and obtain the justice they deserve.
